The books are for sale!

Well, not the large, full reference book. That will come later, hopefully. But the pocket reference guides are done and available for sale! A listing and breakdown of all Savage 1895, 1899 and 99 models and significant variations by year and serial number ranges – as well as dates of manufacture, years that each model was made, and the best pictures of special order checkering and engraving that I could get in this small of format. A great book to have at your desk, or in your back pocket at the next gun show you go to.

Many of the model variants in this book are published for the first time. The early models are pretty well researched, and I did the best on researching post-1960 variations that I could. I look forward to hearing from readers about their rifles and making this book even more accurate! And using that information for the more comprehensive 99 reference that I’ll continue working on.

I will also be creating an errata page on this site for the books, listing errors, omissions and most of the new data we find. So check back to get an updated list of “fixes”.

Thank you for your time, and I hope this book is useful to you.

    1. Wayne, if you click on the “Savage Levers Store” link at the bottom of the page, it should take you to the storefront where the books and calendar can be bought.

There’s also a button on the home page saying “Buy Books, Calendars, Etc”, and if you click that it will take you to the storefront.

    1. No, US orders are printed in the US. At least so far they’ve all been printed in the USA. Overseas orders may be printed overseas to reduce shipping prices and speed delivery, but so far everything has come from the US.
